Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years relevant experience
Proven management experience in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment
Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Willingness to work variable hours including nights and weekends
Ability to maintain excellent attendance
Must comply with health and safety regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

3-5 years relevant experience
Experience in a management capacity in a high-volume fast-paced restaurant or catering environment
Technical proficiency and verifiable knowledge of food preparation methods
Working knowledge of employee scheduling in hospitality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to supervise others
Effective communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management and guests
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced event-driven environment
Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
Ability to perform basic math functions related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation and inventory
Degree in Business Management or Hospitality preferred but not required

Job Duties

Management of the kitchen, catering and concessions food operations including interviewing, hiring, and scheduling of staff
Ordering, inventory, and tracking labor costs
Coordinates the maintenance and repair of all kitchen equipment to ensure operational readiness
Manage suite attendants and ensure food preparation and orders for the suites are done correctly and efficiently
Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venue
Cost out catering riders for performers and events at the arena as well as execute catering and hospitality needs
Controls labor costs through effective scheduling, cross-training and development of employees
Oversee concession stand food preparation and inventory during events
Responsible for overseeing the serving of meals to guests at catered events
Execute all directives in banquet event orders
Identify ingredients and explain menu preparation
Assist in setting up banquet functions and manage layout and food presentation
Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
Assure equipment is operable and clean before events
Lead food and beverage team projects including training and inventory
Create menus for catered events, suites and concession stands
Ensure purchasing and preparation meet quality and consistency standards
All other duties assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage
