Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field
- proven experience as a food and beverage manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- proficiency in inventory management and financial forecasting
- knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
- experience with point of sale systems such as Lightspeed
- ability to design menus and marketing promotions
- problem-solving and customer service expertise
Job Duties
- Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines for food, liquor and payroll to the highest standards
- preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service and resolve customer complaints as appropriate
- design exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements
- market the food and beverage outlet, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations and presentations within corporate guidelines to capture more in-house guests and a larger share of the local market to meet/exceed sales and financial goals and objectives
- identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- establish schedules and follow all policies and procedures
- comply with all health and safety regulations
- report to management regarding sales results and productivity
- develop daily check-lists for each department and each shift, ensure these are being done and done well
- review all payroll punches on a bi-weekly basis and approve time off requests
- ensure proper staffing, planning and execution of banquets and events
- perform daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Marriott International standards
- review all adjustments daily and ensure proper notes are made
- conduct BSA for F&B
- manage food safety logs ordering food, beer, wine, liquor
- maintain knowledge and understanding of Lightspeed
- perform daily huddles
- conduct monthly inventory and weekly bar inventory
- attend and actively participate in weekly department meetings
