  • five years of related experience in hotel operations
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • significant attention to detail
  • complete understanding of NOI profitability and budget goals
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • knowledge of health department rules and regulations
  • knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • computer skills required
  • experience with hotel information systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Monitor industry trends and update cocktail lists and menu items as necessary
  • prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance
  • work with the General Manager and remain informed of food and beverage issues
  • coordinate and monitor loss prevention in the food and beverage department
  • prepare and submit required reports on time
  • organize and conduct regular department meetings
  • ensure compliance with local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations
  • ensure departmental training and compliance of standard operating procedures
  • interview candidates and follow hiring standards for front-of-house food and beverage positions
  • conduct and attend required meetings including pre-event and post-event meetings
  • provide tools and environment for employees to deliver exceptional dining experiences
  • develop and implement strategies for employee engagement
  • maintain product consistency through inspections of seasonings, portions, and food appearance
