Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years experience in a related food and beverage management position
  • Certified food handlers’ certificate or card
  • Familiarity with Micros Symphony POS
  • Knowledge of food and beverage hotel operations and related business practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in English both written and verbal

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in food and beverage management
  • Hotel food and beverage experience preferred
  • Certified food handlers’ certificate or card
  • Knowledge of food and beverage hotel operations including marketing, safety, labor relations, budgeting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and planning
  • Familiarity with Micros Symphony POS systems
  • Strong command of the English language both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and time constraints

Job Duties

  • Manages the Food and Beverage department
  • Ensures managers supervise line staff and manages all day-to-day operations
  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members
  • Oversees culinary, restaurant, beverage, events, and mini bar operations
  • Provides hands-on support in food and beverage operations as needed including during staffing shortages or peak periods
  • Oversees and manages all budgets for the food and beverage department
  • Monitors and controls food and beverage costs to maximize profitability
  • Responds quickly and proactively to guest and employee concerns
  • Drives alignment to AKA brand's service culture and sets service expectations
  • Conducts performance reviews, provides coaching, and develops training programs
