Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years experience in food and beverage or culinary management
- or Associate degree with at least 2 years relevant experience
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal liquor laws
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Availability to work full-time in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- or 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience in food and beverage or related professional area
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and liquor laws
- Ability to manage teams effectively and lead by example
- Experience in training and developing staff
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints and improve service quality
- Financial management skills related to purchasing and budgeting
Job Duties
- Supervises and manages employees and all day-to-day operations
- Maintains service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas
- Reviews staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
- Leads, influences, and encourages the food and beverage team with integrity and sound decision-making
- Builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members and serves as a role model
- Coaches and mentors employees to improve their knowledge and skills
- Ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Provides exceptional customer service and resolves guest complaints
- Manages service delivery from entry to departure ensuring excellent guest relations
- Provides guidance on performance standards and monitors employee performance
- Develops and implements training programs and coaching for employee development
- Oversees financial aspects including purchasing and payment of invoices
- Assists servers and hosts during meal periods and peak times to support operations
