Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a leadership role within hotel restaurants
  • Exposure to large volume restaurant operations preferred
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation practices
  • Working knowledge of wine, spirits, and beers
  • Understanding of culinary terms and seasonality

Job Duties

  • Be courteous and gracious by maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
  • Establish and maintain communication and teamwork with colleagues and other hotel departments
  • Maintain open-door communication with employees
  • Uphold the highest hospitality and service standards while monitoring guest experience
  • Create and develop training programs aimed at continuous individual and group improvement
  • Ensure maximum utilization and appearance of food and beverage areas along with maintaining quality and service standards
  • Develop and analyze procedures to improve guest patronage in accordance with company policies
  • Handle all guest complaints in the restaurant area with professionalism
  • Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality and sanitation standards
  • Participate in financial decisions regarding the food and beverage program
  • Manage inventory and ordering of beverages while overseeing staff education
  • Attend weekly departmental meetings
  • Adhere to all standards of operations, policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Control labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and cash management
  • Assist General Manager in interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing, and scheduling personnel
  • Monitor and develop employee performance by providing supervision, counseling, evaluations, goal setting, and recognition
  • Ensure staff understands job expectations before holding them accountable
  • Maintain documentation required for employee files
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
