Job Requirements

  • Flexible schedule including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must not request time off in March or April
  • Experience managing front-of-house staff
  • Ability to supervise and develop staff
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage payroll and scheduling software
  • Understanding of safety regulations including OSHA

  • Comfortable using JONAS POS and 7Shifts platforms

Job Qualifications

  • 5 years in club F&B or as a restaurant management
  • College degree is a plus
  • CMAA involvement is a plus
  • Food and beverage cost controls and operating procedures knowledge
  • Accounting skills
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits and bar operations
  • Experience with point-of-sales systems
  • Effective communication skills through all department levels and throughout club
  • Able to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Food handlers certification
  • RSB liquor training
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Help plan and approve the staffing and scheduling plans based on club calendar
  • Assure that effective orientation and training for staff are planned and executed, and professional development opportunities/activities are implemented
  • Ensure standard operating procedures for revenue, cost control, and cleanliness are in place and consistently followed
  • Hold staff accountable for proper member account charges, and cash handling procedures
  • Run daily reports, and input notes into manager Lob Book
  • Assist with maintaining and developing the JONAS POS system to ensure proper pricing and member charges on all food and beverage
  • Assure that all applicable club policies and procedures are followed
  • Work with executive/sous chefs to ensure daily/nightly menus and specials are current, along with updating POS system with proper items
  • Write schedule for all FOH staff on 7Shifts platform, approve time-off requests, and shift change requests
  • Responsible for staff’s payroll (CentrallyHR), including time-off pay and sick pay
  • Assists in ensuring that all new employees receive the appropriate safety instructions and training
  • Establishes and enforces all safety policies and procedures including OSHA regulations and ensures appropriate proof of training is documented to employees’ personnel files
  • Research potential new products to increase member experience
  • Greet members/guests, and oversee actual food service on a routine basis
  • Help develop staff knowledge on food/wine/liquor/beer
  • Ensure all sanitary practices are being followed
  • Continually work to ensure correct handling procedures to minimize china and glassware breakage and eliminate food waste
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify company values and represent departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
  • Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns
  • respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
  • Comply with established safe work practices and attend all safety-related training provided or made available by the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned
