The Greater Williamsburg Sports and Events Center is an innovative and expansive indoor facility located in Williamsburg, Virginia, within the culturally rich Historic Triangle area. This premier sports, recreation, and events complex spans approximately 200,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate a wide variety of athletic and community activities. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 5 years supervisory and management experience in food and beverage
- knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
- experience with budget and fiscal management
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent communication abilities
- capability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- valid certifications for responsible alcohol service such as TIPS or RAM
- ability to maintain vendor and supplier relationships
- professional demeanor and positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma required
- college degree preferred
- minimum 5 years experience in food and beverage management, preferably in the golf or sports industry
- proven capability in budget development, fiscal management, and strategic planning
- strong staff management skills
- excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- ability to analyze problems and handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
- availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties
- oversee the annual food and beverage operating plan and budget to ensure alignment with revenue goals and guest experience standards
- manage all food and beverage outlets including full-service restaurants, counter service locations, and banquet/catering spaces
- recruit, train, schedule, and supervise all food and beverage front-of-house team members including service staff, kitchen staff, and event/catering personnel
- ensure consistent adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- implement and monitor purchasing and inventory systems to maintain appropriate stock levels and manage cost controls across all units
- collaborate with marketing and programming teams to develop promotions, packages, and event-driven activations to increase guest spending and enhance brand visibility
- maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to optimize product quality and pricing
- lead planning and execution of food and beverage service for internal events, tournaments, banquets, and external rentals
- ensure seamless communication and coordination between kitchen and service staff to maintain consistency in guest service and culinary execution
- uphold compliance with TABC guidelines and all alcohol service regulations
- maintain certifications for responsible alcohol management programs
- monitor guest satisfaction through feedback loops and service recovery efforts
- stay current with industry trends, emerging concepts, and guest expectations to evolve the food and beverage program
