Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must possess unexpired Serve Safe and TiPS credentials
  • minimum five years of progressive food and beverage supervisory experience
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • ability to remain calm under pressure
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • preferred experience with schedule and payroll management
  • knowledge of food and wine pairings preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study enhances prospects
  • unexpired Serve Safe and TiPS credentials certifying knowledge of food handling, sanitation and responsible alcohol service
  • ability to motivate and supervise teams
  • strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills
  • ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor under pressure
  • strong organizational skills
  • general office administration skills including Microsoft Office
  • experience with schedule and payroll management preferred
  • minimum five years of progressive hands-on food and beverage supervisory experience in a high volume, full-service restaurant
  • knowledge of food and wine pairings preferred

Job Duties

  • Responds to and resolves any guest service issues or emergency situations
  • supervises all staff and delegates tasks as necessary
  • responsible for recruitment, selection, training and development of all staff on product knowledge
  • oversees staff in the restaurant ensuring proper uniform, appearance and break coordination
  • assists in bussing, serving, bartending and covering for meal breaks and rest periods when needed
  • provides coaching and counseling to employees as needed to ensure optimum performance
  • promotes, supports and enforces hotel programs, policies and procedures including sale and service of alcoholic beverages
  • reviews schedule daily to ensure staffing levels meet business needs
  • ensures all opening, side work and closing duties are performed according to standard operating procedures
  • responsible for receiving and operating a bank, accepting payment from guests and making change
  • ensures shift closing procedures are followed by all assigned cashier and service staff according to accounting procedures
  • communicates with engineering and/or IT to ensure restaurant equipment functions properly
  • communicates with kitchen to ensure cooks keep up with demand and product consistency
  • maintains communication with the food and beverage director to address operational challenges
  • maintains work area and surroundings clean using sanitation standards
  • projects a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests, patrons and staff
