Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in banquet and food and beverage management
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must obtain TIPS/RBS certification and California Food Handler's certification before hire
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and busy environments
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software preferred
  • Commitment to uphold liquor liability laws and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous banquet management experience including event coordination and staff supervision
  • Proven experience managing food and beverage outlets and in-room dining
  • Strong understanding of food and wine management
  • Experience in upscale hotel food and beverage operations
  • Availability for flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of financial management including budgeting and labor productivity
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Micros or other restaurant management systems
  • TIPS/RBS certification
  • California Food Handler's certification
  • Culinary training or menu design experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of banquet function execution ensuring flawless service delivery
  • Coordinate setup and assist banquet housemen for smooth event flow
  • Supervise and coordinate banquet staff during events
  • Manage clearing, post-event cleanup, and complete event reporting
  • Maintain high service standards for banquet functions
  • Collaborate with catering, F&B management, and other departments for seamless event execution
  • Address guest concerns related to banquet functions promptly
  • Oversee operations of Monte's Restaurant, Monte's Bar, and other outlets ensuring service excellence
  • Manage in-room dining services ensuring prompt and courteous guest service
  • Lead and train staff across all food and beverage outlets
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns immediately
  • Work with culinary team to review and innovate menu offerings
  • Encourage sales and upselling in all outlets
  • Ensure communication between kitchen, servers, and other departments for smooth service
  • Manage food, beverage, and payroll budget adherence across all outlets
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with all F&B staff
  • Enforce liquor liability and comply with regulations
  • Promote sales promotions and merchandising strategies
  • Coordinate with chefs and service staff for food preparation and delivery
  • Maintain staff training and resources for exceptional service
  • Keep accurate payroll, reports, and labor management records
