Job Requirements
- At least four years of management experience in a banquet facility servicing meals for large events
- must have high school diploma or equivalent
- serve-safe certification
- strong oral and written communication skills
- ability to manage labor costs and meet budget goals
- experience in supervising and training staff
- knowledge of inventory control and payroll processes
- ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- creativity in food presentation and event décor
- attention to detail and customer service orientation

Job Duties
- Hiring and training of all food and beverage servers cashiers and bartenders
- maintaining labor costs and budget goals
- fulfilling the service per each banquet event orders (BEO)
- maintaining an active role in local hospitality community and professional associations
- attending in-house event-related meetings and relaying immediate changes with other departments
- maintaining all banquet equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance
- maintain a health department score of 90 or higher
- designing buffets and coffee break décor creatively
- ensuring attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
- excessive interaction with clients during events
- ordering linen and maintaining uniforms
- responsible for inventory control beverage inventory ordering receiving and controls
- responsible for payroll cash handling and banquet checks
- daily contact with the food and beverage director operations managers and other convention center employees
- other duties as assigned
