Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management business administration culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Two years of progressive responsibility or supervisory experience in private club food and beverage industry required
  • Level 1 Sommelier certification preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with members guests and team members at all levels

Job Duties

  • Serve as a visible leader of food and beverage by leading hands-on service efforts
  • Lead and mentor the food and beverage team including supervisors and hourly staff through coaching and development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other department heads for seamless member experience
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling strategies with senior management
  • Ensure structured onboarding and ongoing service training for front-of-house team
  • Conduct regular inspections for sanitation, safety, and compliance
  • Co-manage long-range staffing needs including interviewing and onboarding
  • Review and provide feedback on menus with the Executive Chef
  • Maintain and organize wine lockers and communicate with members
  • Plan and oversee bocce seasons ensuring efficient operations
  • Ensure adherence to all legal requirements including wage and hour laws
  • Develop standardized policies and procedures for member dining services
  • Greet and oversee service daily leading the team on the floor
  • Manage orders of linen, floral, uniforms and service components
  • Minimize breakage and food waste with proper handling procedures
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate member charges
  • Address member and guest complaints and advise leadership on corrective actions
  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of food and beverage facilities and equipment
  • Monitor team and member dress codes
  • Manage daily closing and reconciliation of point of sale system
  • Assist in maintaining records of events, house counts, and daily volume
  • Ensure accurate reservation system is in place
  • Conduct periodic inventories of china, glass, and silverware
  • Audit and approve timecards bi-weekly
  • Create staffing and scheduling procedures and job specifications
  • Perform other duties assigned by leadership
