Job Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- At least four years of management experience in a banquet facility servicing meals for large events
- Serve-safe certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and labor costs
- Proficient with computer skills including Excel
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Customer service orientation
- Physical ability to walk and operate office equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least four years of management experience in a banquet facility servicing meals for large events
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility
- Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required budgetary goals
- Excellent organizational planning communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
- Computer skills to include Excel programs
- Serve-safe certified
- Ability to be creative with buffet presentations and maintain a quality product
- Attention to detail and service oriented
Job Duties
- Hiring and training of all food and beverage servers cashiers and bartenders
- Maintaining labor costs and budget goals
- Fulfilling the service per each banquet event order
- Maintains an active role in local hospitality community and professional associations
- Attend in-house event-related meetings and relays immediate changes with other departments
- Maintaining all banquet equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance
- Maintain a health department score of 90 or higher
- Must be creative in designing buffets and coffee break decor
- Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must
- Position is very hands on with excessive interaction with clients during events
- Ordering linen and maintaining uniforms
- Responsible for inventory control beverage inventory ordering receiving and controls
- Responsible for payroll cash handling and banquet checks
- Daily contact with the food and beverage director operations managers and other convention center employees
- Other duties as assigned
