Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in a similar scope and title
  • experience within luxury brand or markets preferred
  • food safety certification preferred or attained within 30 days
  • alcohol safety certification preferred or attained within 30 days
  • ability to work in a shared noisy environment
  • ability to cope with changing priorities and deadlines
  • ability to work variable schedules potentially exceeding 40 hours
  • ability to work safely in a kitchen environment with high temperatures and humidity
  • ability to stand, stoop, bend, crouch up to 8 hours daily
  • ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane requiring sitting, standing, and waiting periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • minimum 1 year related work experience in a similar scope and title
  • experience within luxury brands or markets preferred
  • food safety certification preferred or must be attained within 30 days
  • alcohol safety certification preferred or must be attained within 30 days
  • excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent guest service and interpersonal skills
  • ability to prioritize and maintain multiple tables
  • proven leadership and team motivation abilities
  • ability to respond promptly to customer needs

Job Duties

  • Supervises daily shift operations
  • ensures Grand Performers comply with appearance standards
  • schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners
  • inspects kitchen and dining areas and utensils to maintain sanitary standards
  • requisitions and inspects food, supplies, and equipment to meet quality standards
  • ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures
  • maintains service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas
  • acts as guest service role model setting a good example of excellent customer service
  • assists servers on the floor during meal periods
  • clears and resets counters or tables after each course when needed
  • assists dining room servers in food and beverage service, sets tables, serves guests, maintains menu knowledge
  • assists with providing tables with beverages
  • removes and replaces linens
  • transports dirty dishes to dishwashing station
  • polishes silver and glass as needed
  • presents menu, answers questions, and makes food and beverage suggestions
  • seats guests in the dining room
  • explains, pairs and recommends wine
  • serves food and beverage in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner consistent with Kessler standards
  • relays orders to kitchen through POS and helps serve courses from kitchen and service bars
  • totals bills and accepts payments
  • proficiently utilizes property management systems and follows cash handling procedures
  • sets up bar and dining room thoroughly and swiftly
  • empowers Grand Performers to provide excellent customer service
  • ensures staff understands and complies with liquor laws
  • monitors alcohol beverage service compliance
  • ensures POS and cash handling practices follow SOPs
  • edits work schedules and evaluates employee performance
  • assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote operational efficiency
