Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of food and beverage, restaurant and bar management experience
  • must have a high degree of professional integrity
  • ability to work safely, effectively, and efficiently
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with staff and vendors
  • ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures
  • proficiency in presenting information and responding to questions from staff and vendors
  • willingness to abide by all safety rules and practice safe work habits
  • physical ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, use hands dexterously, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear
  • specific required vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • participation in E-Verify process

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of food and beverage, restaurant, and bar management experience
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • knowledge of inventory control and cost management practices
  • understanding of health and safety regulations and alcohol service laws
  • ability to train and develop staff
  • proficiency in English language communication
  • experience in customer service and handling complaints effectively

Job Duties

  • Supervise, train, and mentor food and beverage service staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • create and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth
  • assist in scheduling staff effectively to meet operational needs while optimizing labor costs
  • assign and supervise all opening and closing side duties
  • hold daily meetings to discuss operational matters
  • engage in ongoing employee training sessions to facilitate continual improvement in performance
  • acknowledge exceptional performance and address disciplinary actions for unsatisfactory conduct to foster behavioral improvement
  • assist in overseeing inventory levels of food and beverage items, including ordering, receiving, and stocking
  • implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
  • monitor food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • address any issues or concerns related to food or beverage quality promptly and effectively
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food and beverage service areas
  • circulate on the floor while continually checking with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • handle guest complaints and thank them upon departure
  • monitor and supervise restaurant and bar operations to ensure proper functioning
  • effectively communicate with customers and employees positively and concisely
  • listen attentively to requests and respond appropriately
  • maintain composure and attentiveness during busy periods or emergencies
  • collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth operations and uphold guest service standards
  • perform onboarding duties of newly hired employees in the absence of the Onboarding Human Resources Manager
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and internal policies
  • oversee food safety practices including proper storage, handling, and preparation of bar-related items
  • adhere to all alcohol service laws and regulations ensuring responsible service practices
  • ensure bar team members participate in Florida Responsible Vendor trainings
  • assist in organizing training programs, workshops, and learning initiatives to support employee development
  • serve as the primary contact for beverage quality assurance within the property, offering hands-on training as needed
