Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience in food and beverage management within a hotel environment
- knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- proficiency in computer applications related to food and beverage management
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- proven experience in food and beverage management in a hotel setting
- strong leadership and communication skills
- knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- ability to manage budgets and control costs
- experience in training and developing staff
- proficiency in inventory and vendor management
- familiarity with marketing and promotional strategies
- problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Job Duties
- Direct the day-to-day activities and assignments of food and beverage staff
- ensure proper coverage and prioritize work
- develop and communicate departmental strategies and goals
- communicate and enforce policies and procedures with all staff
- recommend and initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing actions
- ensure all staff is properly trained and equipped
- achieve budgeted revenues and monitor costs
- participate in annual budget preparation and financial planning
- establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals
- respond promptly to guest questions and complaints
- develop and maintain local and system-wide marketing programs
- monitor competitors and industry trends
- review and approve menu design with Executive Chef
- adhere to brand standards
- establish procedures for inventory control
- ensure security and proper storage of food, beverage, and equipment
- ensure equipment is operational and cleaned regularly
- ensure all facilities are clean and properly stocked
- notify Engineering of maintenance needs
- recruit and select entertainment for outlets and events
- promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments
- interact with guests, vendors, and regulatory agencies
