Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in similar scope and title
  • Experience within luxury brand or markets preferred
  • Food Safety Certification preferred or attained within 30 days
  • Alcohol Safety Certification preferred or attained within 30 days
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch up to 8 hours daily
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work varied schedules based on business needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in food and beverage management or similar scope and title
  • Experience within luxury brand or markets preferred
  • Food Safety Certification preferred or attained within 30 days
  • Alcohol Safety Certification preferred or attained within 30 days
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • Supervises daily shift operations
  • Ensures Grand Performers comply with appearance standards
  • Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners
  • Inspects kitchen and dining areas and kitchen utensils and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are met
  • Requisitions and inspects food, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels and ensure quality standards are met
  • Ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures
  • Maintains service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas
  • Acts as the guest service role model for the restaurant, sets a good example of excellent customer service, and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
  • Assists servers on the floor during meal periods
  • Clears and resets counters or tables after each course when needed
  • Assists dining room servers in food and beverage service, sets tables, serves guests as directed by the server, keeps menus clean, and maintains the clean table between servings
  • Assists with providing tables with beverages
  • Removes solid linens and replaces them with clean linen
  • Transports dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
  • Polishes silver and glass as needed
  • Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and beverage
  • Seats guests in the dining room
  • Explains, pairs and recommends wine from the wine list
  • Serves food and beverage in a genuine, friendly, professional, and efficient manner consistent with the Kessler image and standards
  • Relays orders to the kitchen through POS and helps serve courses from kitchen and service bars
  • Totals bill and accepts payment when needed
  • Proficiently utilizes the property management systems and follows cash handling procedures
  • Sets up bar and dining room in a thorough and swift manner
  • Empowers Grand Performers to provide excellent customer service
  • Ensures staff understands local, state, and Federal liquor laws
  • Monitors alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws
  • Ensures point of sale operations and cash handling practices follow standard operating procedures
  • Edits work schedules and evaluates the work performance of employees
  • Assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote operational efficiency
