Job Requirements
- at least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- supervisory experience required
- proficiency in Windows operating systems and company approved spreadsheets and word processing
- ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
- ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- effectiveness in handling workplace problems including anticipating, preventing, and solving problems
- ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adjust as needed
- effective listening and resolving concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- ability to work with and understand financial information and basic arithmetic functions

Job Duties
- approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- comply with company standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations
- comply with certification requirements such as food handlers, alcohol awareness, CPR and first aid
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- be familiar with the organization of the hotel and know the function of each department
- ensure training of all Food and Beverage/Banquet personnel using effective training steps according to company standards
- maintain follow-through of all guest requests, problems, complaints or accidents
- motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all Food and Beverage personnel according to company SOPs
- review Food and Beverage staff's worked hours for payroll compilation and submit to accounting on time
- develop assigned managers and assist in their placement
- attend weekly staff meetings and provide training on a rotational basis
- prepare and conduct all Food and Beverage interviews and follow hiring procedures
- prepare employee shift schedules according to business forecasts and budget guidelines
- ensure wage progress and productivity reports are accurate and submitted timely
- conduct 90 day and annual employee performance appraisals
- implement company policies and house rules
- assist in developing and implementing Food and Beverage promotional ideas
- maintain beverage costs to meet budget
- focus on Food and Beverage Department's contribution to guest service scores
- ensure compliance with company training standards
- maintain company SOPs for purchase orders, invoicing and accounting
- develop and promote sales programs including up selling
- maintain service standards throughout the Food and Beverage/Banquet Department
- participate in MOD coverage as scheduled
- initiate all required Food and Beverage reports
- complete all forecasting and budgeting timely
- ensure Food and Beverage employees maintain attentive, friendly and courteous behavior
- ensure quarterly operating equipment inventory and purchasing
- maintain credit policies
- implement food and beverage blitzes and promotions for negative market trends
- organize and conduct department meetings
- attend daily BEO meetings
- conduct beverage purchasing and monthly inventories
- ensure quality and presentation of all food products
- maintain professional communication with all departments
- oversee Banquet operations
- use POS system for reports and analysis
- maintain key control system
- complete monthly menu analysis
- monitor cash overages and shortages
- assist with emergency procedures
- maintain comprehensive filing system
- complete required correspondence
- promote positive communication within teams
- update POS as necessary
- handle lost and found items
- maintain stock pars
- review daily food sales accuracy
- perform other duties as assigned by General Manager
