Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of five years’ experience in food and beverage with three years at management level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Ability to handle physical demands such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to follow directions accurately and pay attention to detail
- Must be energetic, outgoing, and a team player
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to operate POS and computer systems efficiently
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Must comply with company safety and security policies
- Willingness to travel as required
- Must be available to work primarily Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm PST with occasional weekend or holiday shifts
- Must abide by payroll policies and rules of conduct
- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures
Job Qualifications
- Five-year experience in food and beverage including at least three years in management
- Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, service techniques, and guest interaction
- Skilled in math and algebra including percentages
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend continuously
- Effective oral and written communication in English
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations
- Familiarity with computer systems for data entry and information access
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Service-oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Competent in basic financial information and arithmetic
- Typing speed of 45 words per minute
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with property standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply at all times with property standards and regulations
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
- Be familiar with the organization of the property and know the function of each department
- Maintain food cost within budgeted guidelines
- Establish and maintain a file of recipe cards according to property standards
- Ensure training of all Food & Beverage personnel using Performance for Excellence training procedures
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings with the F&B Staff according to property standards
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Maintain follow through of all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all F&B personnel
- Review F&B staff's worked hours for payroll compilation
- Prepare and conduct all F&B interviews and hiring procedures
- Prepare employee shift schedule
- Oversee all Food & Beverage work areas
- Maintain a clean department by implementing and maintaining a standard of "Clean As You Go"
- Review B.E.O.s and attend weekly meetings pertaining to events
- Conduct monthly F&B inventories and reconciliation
- Conduct employee performance appraisals
- Ensure implementation of all property policies and rules
- Assist in developing and ensure implementation of Food & Beverage promotional ideas
- Maintain budgeted food and beverage costs
- Focus F&B Department on contributing to Guest Comment Card scores
- Maintain standards regarding purchase orders and invoices
- Develop upsell programs for service personnel
- Ensure service standards are maintained
- Participate in MOD coverage as scheduled
- Initiate F&B related reports
- Complete forecasting and budgeting efficiently
- Ensure F&B employees are attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous
- Maintain procedures concerning credit policies
- Develop and implement systems to control waste
- Recommend kitchen operating supplies and capital purchases
- Develop employee morale and ensure training
- Ensure quality and presentation of food products
- Hire, train, supervise, and discipline F&B management team members
