Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of post high school education
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a related position
  • Ability to manage daily food and beverage operations
  • Knowledge of cost management practices
  • Strong leadership and human resources management skills
  • Ability to implement and ensure compliance with company programs and regulations
  • Skills in marketing food and beverage offerings
  • Experience in budgeting and financial planning
  • Capability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of post high school education
  • Minimum of five years of employment in a related position
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession including management of people and food and beverage operations
  • Knowledge of hotel operations such as marketing plans, security, safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business plan preparation, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-range planning
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences

Job Duties

  • Manage day to day operations for all restaurant outlets, room service, culinary, stewarding, beverage, banquet, and purchasing operations
  • Control and manage all areas of cost management including cost of food, beverage, salaries and wages, and other expenses
  • Plan and manage the procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food and beverages in the hotel in a safe, sanitary, and cost-effective manner
  • Manage the human resources within the division including recruitment, training, coaching, counseling, performance and salary reviews, conflict resolution, discipline and termination
  • Implement and manage all company programs to ensure compliance with SOPs and LSOPs, including safety and sanitary regulations and all federal, state, franchise, and local regulations
  • Market the food and beverage outlets by developing and implementing menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations, and presentations within corporate guidelines
  • Develop, implement, and manage the department's business and marketing plan and budget while controlling labor and food costs
  • Manage the maintenance and sanitation of food and beverage areas and equipment to protect assets and ensure quality service
  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience
  • Execute and promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and expenses
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
