Job Requirements

  • Education and/or experience in food & beverage management
  • Minimum three years relevant management experience in luxury hotel environment
  • Experience managing unionized employees
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to service
  • Ability to manage budgets and payroll
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Three years food & beverage management in luxury world class hotel
  • Three years technical food & beverage experience and/or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Previous employee management in Local 6 union environment
  • Primary quality detailed service ethic
  • Strong interpersonal staff and guest relations
  • Team minded approach to fellow workers
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Duties

  • Employee training, development, & review
  • Delegation of work safety & emergency procedures
  • Enforcement of job descriptions
  • Job performance reviews
  • Staff morale
  • Department scheduling
  • Organization of documented employee files
  • Rewarding & disciplining employees
  • Complete payroll on a daily basis
  • Managing department costs within budgetary goals which include food, beverage, and labor costs
