Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food and beverage experience in restaurant banquet or hotel setting preferred
- ServSafe certification required
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must comply with all federal state and local hospitality laws and regulations
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to attend training sessions and meetings as required
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Previous experience in restaurant banquet or hotel food and beverage operations preferred
- ServSafe training required
- Knowledge of food and beverage in restaurant or hotel operations
- Ability to speak read write and comprehend English proficiently
- Leadership skills and ability to lead and be a role model for team members
- Ability to make decisions based on general policies and procedures
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Ability to prioritize organize and manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of safety and brand standards
- Familiarity with inventory control and cost management
Job Duties
- Direct day-to-day activities ensuring food is prepared according to food handling regulations guidelines and brand standards
- Maintain cleanliness while being attentive to guest needs
- Greet all guests and engage with them around the food area replenishing coffee and providing memorable guest experiences
- Maintain complete knowledge of department policies service procedures and standards
- Forecast implement monitor control and report on cost components to maximize profitability while ensuring adequate supplies and staffing
- Maintain quality and service standards and ensure tools and equipment are available to perform job functions
- Maintain inventory of all food supplies and assist with food orders
- Assist in set-up service and breakdown of banquet functions
- Inspect kitchen prep area and dining space for cleanliness working condition and proper equipment set-up
- Establish par levels for supplies and equipment and complete requisitions to replenish shortages
- Maintain knowledge of equipment maintenance and proper use
- Check storage areas for supplies organization and cleanliness and instruct corrective actions
- Adhere to all safety and brand standards
- Respond to guest requests and complaints timely efficiently and in a friendly manner
- Maintain professional image through appearance and dress
- Follow company policies procedures and communicate them to subordinates
- Operate hotel in compliance with federal state and local laws including OSHA EEOC wage and hour and health code laws
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
