Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, club, or fine dining
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food service standards
  • Proven ability to train and develop staff effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
  • Physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed

Job Duties

  • Maintain a highly visible presence in all outlets to engage with members and anticipate their needs
  • Ensure service delivery reflects the club's 3 Steps of Service: Warm Welcome, Helpful Hospitality, Fond Farewell
  • Address member feedback promptly and professionally, creating positive and lasting impressions
  • Support special events and unique dining experiences across both outlets
  • Lead positive, exciting, and educational pre-shifts daily, reinforcing menu knowledge, wine & beverage education, and cultural values
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions to elevate service techniques, product knowledge, and hospitality standards
  • Coach, mentor, and inspire staff, ensuring accountability while fostering pride, enthusiasm, and care
  • Recognize achievements and celebrate success stories to build a fun and motivated culture
  • Oversee reservations, floor plans, and section assignments for both Jack's and Ventana
  • Ensure consistency in table pacing, timing of courses, and presentation standards
  • Manage staffing schedules, labor controls, and service coverage for peak and off-peak times
  • Partner with the culinary team to ensure seamless FOH/BOH communication and execution
  • Monitor cleanliness, ambiance, and safety standards across all outlets
  • Establish a structured onboarding program for new staff that reflects Desert Highlands culture
  • Implement continuous education initiatives (wine pairings, mixology, service standards, etc.)
  • Develop supervisors and captains into future leaders through one-on-one mentorship and coaching
  • Collaborate on leadership programs such as LEAD 2025/2026 and Culture Card initiatives
