Job Duties
- Responsible for organization of beer/wine cooler and maintaining inventory log
- enforce policies regarding liquor requisitions
- manage liquor par levels in beverage areas
- ensure beverage staff follow proper procedures for ordering, pouring, and cashiering
- coordinate group reservations in pub/patio area
- handle reservations on holidays
- set up and monitor contests and promotions
- assist with implementation of special promotions
- conduct regular work area inspections and address necessary items
- hold pre-shift meetings with staff
- prepare for daily activities and review with management and staff
- ensure shifts are covered with adequate staffing especially during peak periods and high occupancy
- communicate with department managers and MOD daily for consistency and information sharing
- monitor associate performance, provide feedback, reward, discipline, and document performance
- handle associate complaints and problem resolution
- supervise staff and manage associate situations
- conduct interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, and terminations
- select and develop qualified, goal-oriented, service-driven individuals
- enforce grooming and uniform standards
- maintain work area cleanliness and assign cleaning duties
- ensure high service quality and guest satisfaction
- control inventory of uniforms, supplies, and equipment
- prepare and post weekly schedules
- conduct hospitality audits and ensure adherence to service excellence standards
- maintain complete and accurate logs
- prepare and submit accident or injury reports
- promote teamwork attitude among staff
- ensure timely and professional resolution of guest issues
- comply with hotel policies and applicable laws in supervisory duties
- plan, assign and direct associate work
- prepare payroll
- promote open communication channels between hotel departments
- ensure all associates are safety conscious and trained in safe practices
- have thorough knowledge of fire regulations, safety programs, and accident reports
- implement training program aligned with Marriott policies
- facilitate new hire and ongoing departmental training
- hold department and inter-departmental meetings
- be familiar with hotel procedures and cooperate with other areas
- route guest commendations to appropriate personnel
- notify management of shift activities
- determine and follow up on special groups and VIP needs
- participate in Hotel Manager on Duty program
- follow supervisors' instructions and complete assigned duties
- drive personal or company vehicle as required
