Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience
  • experience managing front of house and back of house teams including bar and beverage program oversight
  • legal ability to serve alcohol
  • flexible to work nights and weekends
  • ability to work independently and lead a team
  • dependable and reliable
  • capable of working in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • understanding of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health compliance

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction
  • create a positive and upbeat atmosphere of engagement for guests and associates
  • coordinate daily front of the house and back of the house restaurant operations
  • respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • manage food and beverage inventory, ordering and receiving, including liquor, beer, wine and food
  • audit inventory levels and order products as necessary
  • review product quality and research new vendors
  • prepare weekly schedules for bartender, barback and server staff
  • provide coverage in case of employee absence
  • oversee preparation of beverages and ensure quality of product served
  • train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • ensure readiness for internal and external audits such as alcohol awareness, food safety, sanitation, health inspection, safety training and certification
  • manage restaurant's good image and suggest improvements
  • control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • perform opening and closing tasks including checklist completion, cash handling and deposits
