Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum five years food and beverage experience with three in management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must be service oriented with strong customer service and sales skills
- Must be energetic, outgoing and able to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow payroll policies and company procedures
- Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

Job Qualifications
- Five years experience in food and beverage with three years in management
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and web analytics tools preferred
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction
- Considerable math and algebraic skills using percentages
- Ability to walk, stand or bend continuously
- Excellent oral and written communication in English with patience and diplomacy
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations
- Proficient in computer system use for information input
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player able to work with minimal supervision
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand basic financial information and arithmetic problems
- Typing speed of 45 wpm
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Opera

Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with property standards, as required by scheduling
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag
- Comply with property standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
- Be familiar with property organization and department functions
- Maintain food cost within budgeted guidelines
- Establish and maintain a file of recipe cards according to property standards
- Ensure training of all Food & Beverage personnel using Performance for Excellence procedures
- Carry a pager 24/7
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings and attend weekly staff meetings
- Handle guest requests, problems, complaints and accidents in Food & Beverage areas
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline F&B personnel according to property standards
- Review staff worked hours for payroll and submit to Human Resources timely
- Conduct F&B interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Prepare employee shift schedules according to business forecast and budget
- Oversee all Food & Beverage work areas
- Implement and maintain "Clean As You Go" standard
- Review Banquet Event Orders and attend weekly function meetings
- Conduct monthly inventories and reconciliations
- Perform 90 day and annual performance appraisals
- Implement property policies and rules
- Develop and implement Food & Beverage promotions
- Maintain food, beverage and pantry costs to meet budget
- Focus department on Guest Comment Card scores
- Manage purchase orders, invoices and accounting
- Develop and promote upsell programs
- Maintain service standards
- Participate in manager on duty coverage
- Prepare F&B reports
- Complete forecasting and budgeting
- Maintain attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous behavior
- Maintain credit policy procedures
- Develop waste control systems
- Recommend kitchen supplies and capital purchases
- Enhance employee morale and training
- Ensure food product quality and presentation
- Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel food and beverage management team members
