Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • must complete I-9 form within first three days of employment
  • pass background check
  • able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • minimum two years supervisory customer service experience
  • at least one year full-service dining experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow safety policies and instructions
  • maintain professional appearance and punctuality
  • able to work extended hours if necessary
  • willing to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of supervisory customer service experience
  • at least one year of full-service dining experience
  • management experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • strong leadership and people skills
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • effective problem-solving and analytical skills
  • good judgment and discretion
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • computer proficiency including MS Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Oversee safe and efficient operation of restaurant and applicable outlets
  • supervise staff to provide excellent guest service while promoting profitability
  • create promotions and marketing programs
  • prepare work schedules according to labor productivity goals
  • enforce cash handling policies and procedures
  • coordinate supply purchases and monitor inventory
  • formalize and maintain standard operating procedures and training programs
  • assure beverage servers comply with local and company beverage service laws
  • know menu details including prices and specials
  • maintain food and beverage control
  • participate in month-end inventory
  • participate in daily restaurant operations including performing server, host, or cashier duties
  • ensure prompt and accurate room service
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness and decor
  • assist in controlling costs such as waste, breakage, theft and labor
  • provide department-specific safety training
  • support hotel performance goals
  • respond to guest and employee concerns
  • coach and motivate staff
  • maintain documentation of employee performance
  • manage staffing and payroll control
  • interview, select, train and orient employees
  • review payroll and attendance records
  • aggressively manage workers compensation claims
  • communicate hotel events and policies to staff
  • participate in department meetings
  • manage budget and expenses
  • assume managerial duties in absence of general manager
