Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • minimum 3 years experience in food and beverage management preferably in luxury hotel or upscale restaurant settings
  • proven leadership skills managing teams in high volume environments
  • strong knowledge of hospitality standards and compliance
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • proficiency with POS and Microsoft Office applications
  • ability to handle financial management tasks including budgeting and reporting
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • knowledge of safety and health regulations
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work under pressure and resolve guest complaints professionally
  • strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and teamwork

Job Qualifications

  • A college degree is preferred
  • experience in freestanding restaurants or luxury hotels is necessary
  • strong knowledge of food wine and liquor
  • excellent customer service skills
  • clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English second language is an asset
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office primarily Word and Excel
  • excellent organizational interpersonal and administrative skills with attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Maintain floor presence during shifts greeting and interacting with guests
  • perform daily inspections for readiness according to established standards
  • handle all opening and closing shift procedures including log book management pre-meal shift and guest comment card processing
  • ensure fast accurate service exceptional guest relations and product consistency with company quality standards
  • supervise tabletop presentation and direct service activities
  • address guest complaints diplomatically to uphold satisfaction
  • monitor food quality and achieve 100 percent customer satisfaction
  • possess comprehensive menu knowledge spanning breakfast lunch dinner bar and wine pairing
  • manage inventory of equipment linen and supplies
  • oversee profit and loss management adhere to cash control and security procedures manage labor review financial reports and take corrective actions
  • operate Micros system to manage guest checks and hotel reports
  • monitor service speed and enforce quality control for food and beverages
  • schedule dining personnel based on forecasted business ensuring adequate staffing within budgetary guidelines
  • stay informed of industry trends
  • uphold safety standards adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Act local health and safety codes and company policies
  • communicate maintenance needs to Engineering Department via work orders
  • maintain storerooms in readiness cleanliness and order
  • foster good employee relations between service kitchen and dining areas
  • lead recruitment interviewing hiring conduct performance appraisals administer disciplinary actions motivate and train staff
  • develop and maintain wine lists
  • oversee the delivery of wine service in collaboration with culinary teams by suggesting appropriate pairings
  • perform sommelier duties on the floor assisting in service and enhancing guest experiences
  • work ethically respecting patrons taste preferences and budget
  • maintain all wine list and menu documentation
  • provide ongoing progressive staff education and training
