Job Requirements
- Must be a student of Del Mar College
- Available for internship from January 2026 to April 2026
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with state food safety and liquor laws
- Experience or interest in employee planning and scheduling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under direct supervision
- Commitment to complete the full internship application process
- Must be able to work flexible hours as required
Job Qualifications
- Be a self-starter and self-motivated
- Comfortable working in an extremely busy environment
- Experience in retail, catering, concessions, or alcohol service in a hospitality setting
- Outgoing, energetic, motivated, and professional demeanor
- Strong team player with excellent customer service skills
- Proven ability to solve time-sensitive issues
- Good organizational skills
- Proactive in suggesting improvements and troubleshooting
- Prior experience with point-of-sale systems
Job Duties
- Assist with planning and scheduling of food and beverage department activities
- Support day-to-day operations for concessions, premium, and culinary services
- Observe and learn from the Director of Catering, Concession Manager, or Executive Chef
- Participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating under supervision
- Handle inventory management and tracking
- Ensure compliance with state food safety and liquor laws
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to the hospitality team
