Job Requirements

  • Must be a student of Del Mar College
  • Available for internship from January 2026 to April 2026
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with state food safety and liquor laws
  • Experience or interest in employee planning and scheduling
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under direct supervision
  • Commitment to complete the full internship application process
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as required

Job Qualifications

  • Be a self-starter and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working in an extremely busy environment
  • Experience in retail, catering, concessions, or alcohol service in a hospitality setting
  • Outgoing, energetic, motivated, and professional demeanor
  • Strong team player with excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to solve time-sensitive issues
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements and troubleshooting
  • Prior experience with point-of-sale systems

Job Duties

  • Assist with planning and scheduling of food and beverage department activities
  • Support day-to-day operations for concessions, premium, and culinary services
  • Observe and learn from the Director of Catering, Concession Manager, or Executive Chef
  • Participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating under supervision
  • Handle inventory management and tracking
  • Ensure compliance with state food safety and liquor laws
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to the hospitality team
