Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • customer service or guest relations experience preferred
  • previous experience in a food and beverage environment helpful
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • must be eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic beverages for relevant roles
  • must successfully complete Alcohol Awareness Program for relevant positions

Job Duties

  • Welcomes and greets guests
  • accommodates guests with special needs
  • quotes wait times
  • maintains an efficient wait list
  • directs guests to appropriate waiting areas
  • takes reservations
  • escorts guests to table
  • reviews menu specials and provides guests with menus
  • answers questions about the specific food operation
  • possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products served
  • coordinates the orderly movement of people by monitoring table turns
  • walks the dining room
  • manages seating plans
  • understands service capacities
  • assists bussers in cleaning and resetting tables
  • keeps venue clean and free of litter at all times
  • understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities
  • performs other duties as assigned
