Job Requirements

Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
climb up and down ladders
scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds
maintain flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
reliable and prompt attendance
ability to work in environments ranging from 34F to -10F
ability to work where allergens may be present
exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and elements during duties
ability to remain mobile for the duration of shifts
at least 18 years of age

Job Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required
welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
strong problem-solving skills to resolve guest questions quickly
attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
ability to effectively manage multiple tasks within established timeframes

Job Duties

Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing fresh and full shopping during all hours
uphold and maintain the execution of food and beverage standards
understand how operational procedures impact shortage and profitability
execute replenishment, pulls, stocking, zoning, in-stock routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, item removal, signing, and backstock processes
proactively manage fast-mover inventory by adding and removing items as required
follow all food safety requirements and best practices
use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
partner with direct store delivery distributors to maintain DSD POGs, transitions, and backroom space
identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to best practices
create a welcoming experience by greeting all guests authentically
observe and respond to guest needs using verbal and nonverbal cues
engage with guests by asking questions to better understand their needs
be knowledgeable about store products and services to solve guest issues
thank guests genuinely for shopping at Target
execute all applicable federal, state, and local adult beverage laws
handle environmentally sensitive items properly
use and care for personal protective equipment following guidelines
demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
work safely to identify and correct hazards
support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup, and Drive-Up duties
perform all other duties based on business needs
