Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years experience in food and beverage management within a luxury resort or hotel setting
- Proven leadership ability managing multiple fine dining outlets
- Strong training and development background
- Sommelier certification
- Food service sanitation certification
- CPR certification preferred
- Alcohol service permit if state required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend frequently during shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems
- Ability to handle high-pressure environments
- Commitment to uphold Forbes Five Star service standards
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Four-year hospitality degree preferred
- At least five years of related experience in multi-outlet luxury resort
- Experience in luxury hotel food and beverage operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of service standards and guest interaction
- Proficiency in computer systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Unifocus, SevenRooms, Craftable, Evention, Birchstreet, Medallia, Beekeeper
- Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Sommelier certification preferred
- Food Service Sanitation certification required
- CPR certification preferred
- Alcohol service permit if required by state
Job Duties
- Oversee onboarding and training of all food and beverage associate and management new hires
- Coordinate with General Managers on training plans and determine eligibility of new F&B team members to graduate from training programs based on service audits
- Identify hourly associate training needs and implement training plans to elevate service levels
- Define and implement service excellence standards and procedures
- Conduct regular service audits and provide coaching and counseling where necessary
- Monitor service quality and guest feedback and create action plans from Forbes, LQA, Medallia, and Member Survey results
- Provide relief as interim General Manager to ensure seamless operations
- Work closely with VP of Hospitality Experience and Learning and Development on feedback and training
- Engage proactively with guests to anticipate needs and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations and maintain food safety standards
