Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years experience in food and beverage management within a luxury resort or hotel setting
  • Proven leadership ability managing multiple fine dining outlets
  • Strong training and development background
  • Sommelier certification
  • Food service sanitation certification
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Alcohol service permit if state required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend frequently during shifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems
  • Ability to handle high-pressure environments
  • Commitment to uphold Forbes Five Star service standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Four-year hospitality degree preferred
  • At least five years of related experience in multi-outlet luxury resort
  • Experience in luxury hotel food and beverage operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of service standards and guest interaction
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Unifocus, SevenRooms, Craftable, Evention, Birchstreet, Medallia, Beekeeper
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Sommelier certification preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certification required
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Alcohol service permit if required by state

Job Duties

  • Oversee onboarding and training of all food and beverage associate and management new hires
  • Coordinate with General Managers on training plans and determine eligibility of new F&B team members to graduate from training programs based on service audits
  • Identify hourly associate training needs and implement training plans to elevate service levels
  • Define and implement service excellence standards and procedures
  • Conduct regular service audits and provide coaching and counseling where necessary
  • Monitor service quality and guest feedback and create action plans from Forbes, LQA, Medallia, and Member Survey results
  • Provide relief as interim General Manager to ensure seamless operations
  • Work closely with VP of Hospitality Experience and Learning and Development on feedback and training
  • Engage proactively with guests to anticipate needs and resolve issues
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations and maintain food safety standards
