Job Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of culinary experience including production, menu development, and purchasing
- proven track record of successful management and supervisory experience
- working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- experience with catering is a plus
- background in nutrition, special diets, and altered food textures is a plus
- strong communication, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
- established assessment and decision-making skills
- excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
- culinary school diploma or degree in Food Service Management preferred
- willingness to learn and work with seniors
Job Duties
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement a successful dining program
- oversee back-of-house kitchen operations and front-of-house dining room supervision
- manage menu development focusing on scratch cooking and seasonal, farm-to-table sourcing
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- supervise hiring, training, and performance of food and beverage staff
- manage purchasing and inventory control for food and beverage supplies
- maintain high standards of guest service and address resident feedback effectively
