Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of culinary experience including production, menu development, and purchasing
  • proven track record of successful management and supervisory experience
  • working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • experience with catering is a plus
  • background in nutrition, special diets, and altered food textures is a plus
  • strong communication, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
  • established assessment and decision-making skills
  • excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • culinary school diploma or degree in Food Service Management preferred
  • willingness to learn and work with seniors

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement a successful dining program
  • oversee back-of-house kitchen operations and front-of-house dining room supervision
  • manage menu development focusing on scratch cooking and seasonal, farm-to-table sourcing
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • supervise hiring, training, and performance of food and beverage staff
  • manage purchasing and inventory control for food and beverage supplies
  • maintain high standards of guest service and address resident feedback effectively
