Job Requirements

  • Food Handler Certificate
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
  • Valid California Driver License
  • must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • must be able to stand and walk for long periods
  • must speak and communicate in English
  • must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Control the sales and profitability of the restaurant, banquets, pool and in-room dining
  • establish and monitor standards for personnel administration and service quality
  • establish and maintain effective revenue management techniques
  • develop, implement, and monitor budgets
  • assess staffing requirements and recruit staff
  • ensure adherence to Forbes 4-star standards and BLAS handbook
  • manage staff performance and schedules
  • assist with coordination and staffing of special events
  • monitor condition of dining areas and grounds
  • maintain communication with patrons, staff, and vendors
  • respond to guest feedback
  • establish par levels for supplies and maintain inventory
  • arrange maintenance and repairs of equipment
  • maintain food and beverage sales and cost history
  • stay abreast of industry trends
  • ensure compliance with health and licensing guidelines
  • possess thorough knowledge of beverage and menu items
  • prepare reports
  • interface with executive chef on menu planning
  • assist staff to ensure optimum service
  • support safe work habits and environment
  • implement procedures to ensure operational excellence and ethics
  • perform other duties as assigned
