Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of experience in food and beverage management
  • Safe food handling certification required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hotel sanitary standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial objectives
  • Leadership skills to manage and train staff
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing in food and beverage sector

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a similar position
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Degree in hospitality management, business, and/or culinary preferred
  • Safe food handling certification
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing tools
  • Knowledge of food and beverage cost controls
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as B.E.O.s, safety rules, and procedure manuals
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Job Duties

  • Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation and health regulations and hotel requirements
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
  • Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications
  • Establish, maintain, and train standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions
  • Develop accurate and aggressive financial objectives for the Food and Beverage Department
  • Respond and handle all guest related issues pertaining to the department
  • Ensure communication with General Manager and other department staff
  • Manage all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment
  • Maintain and be responsible for the Food and Beverage Department's annual budget
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Oversee management, budget, and operation of food and beverage service outlets, catering services, and kitchen
  • Maintain liaison with sales department to ensure maximum profitability
  • Enforce all policies and procedures
  • Direct subordinates to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Ensure proper preparation and service of food and beverages to meet all quality and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned
