Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to four years related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports
  • Strong communication skills in person, telephone, and writing
  • Ability to write speeches and articles
  • Ability to understand accounting concepts and budget management
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must follow safety precautions and company policies at all times
  • Must maintain professional image and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or one to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports
  • Ability to implement safety policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills in person, telephone, and writing
  • Ability to write speeches and articles conforming to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to effectively present information to various audiences
  • Ability to understand and manipulate accounting concepts such as general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, purchasing, night audit, cash handling, and budget management
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills
  • Franchise specific certification

Job Duties

  • Estimate food and beverage costs and requisitions or purchases supplies
  • Confer with food preparation and other personnel to plan menus and related activities such as dining room, bar, and banquet operations
  • Prepare cost estimates for menus, banquets, buffets and salad bars
  • Perform product margin analysis to ensure alignment with departmental profit goals
  • Maintain and train employees on proper cash handling policies
  • Ensure schedules are prepared fairly and within budgeted guidelines
  • Inspect food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Communicate maintenance and housekeeping needs to appropriate supervisors
  • Supervise inventory procedures for food, liquor, beer, linen, china and glassware
  • Project and plan for future supply needs and place orders following purchasing procedures
  • Review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation and expenditures within budget limits
  • Develop and hold training programs on company policies including cash handling, safety, guest service and suggestive selling
  • Participate in creating effective marketing programs utilizing competitive and market intelligence
