Job Requirements

  • Min of 2 years banquet service experience in high volume banquets, restaurants with banquet facilities
  • must be able to work and lead a team independently without active management
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must be able to pass a background check including credit history report and meet corporate minimum requirements
  • must be able to obtain an ABO Card and LATC Permit
  • ability to work flexible, irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • reliable transportation
  • professional attitude and appearance
  • non-slip shoes required

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • report to work in proper uniform according to schedule
  • follow instructions given by Food & Beverage Manager and Supervisor
  • make quick and accurate decisions
  • consult with Food Services Manager on serving arrangements and staffing
  • supervise and train food & beverage servers, cashiers, and temp labor
  • provide food and beverage service including cashier duties and meal plating when needed
  • motivate servers to exceed guest expectations
  • determine when guests should not be served additional alcoholic beverages per ASM policies
  • inspect function space for cleanliness, organization, and ambiance
  • observe food presentation to ensure correct garnishing and arrangement
  • manage consumption sheets
  • ensure cleanliness and orderliness of front and back of house areas
  • foster cooperative working climate to maximize productivity and morale
  • complete paperwork and closing duties per departmental standards
  • review assignment status and follow-ups with management
  • organize and delegate daily tasks to banquet staff
  • maximize task efficiency
  • conduct pre-event meetings with banquet staff
  • maintain proper set-up of service hallway
  • coordinate meal breaks for service staff
  • prepare post-event task list with management assistance
  • maintain and supervise sanitation guidelines
  • oversee productivity of servers and temp workers
  • report maintenance or repair needs
  • follow proper accident and incident reporting procedures
  • prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • work under minimal supervision
  • maintain professional attitude and appearance
  • thorough knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • demonstrate accuracy with cash handling and POS operation
  • exhibit exemplary food and beverage service skills in a fine dining atmosphere
