Xanterra Travel Collection operates the historic Trail Ridge Store & Cafe located in Rocky Mountain National Park at over 12,000 feet elevation. Job Requirements

  • able to work at an altitude of 12,000 feet
  • ability to stand or walk for eight to ten hour shifts
  • frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs
  • able to walk up and down stairs several times a day
  • carry boxes or products up and down stairs
  • able to bend down or kneel frequently during a shift
  • able to climb ladders as requested

Job Qualifications

  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • command of the English language with excellent verbal communication
  • able to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately
  • knowledge of all menu items, specials, food, and beverages
  • basic understanding of food & beverage procedures
  • able to function with flexibility and courteous behavior in a high traffic seasonal food service operation

Job Duties

  • perform all duties with respect to the company’s core values, mission statement, and guest services standards
  • provide excellent guest service including menu knowledge, order taking, suggestive selling, and payment processing
  • perform cashiering duties accurately
  • process credit card sales following company procedures
  • ensure products are attractively displayed
  • assist with loading and unloading café food and merchandise
  • stock merchandise and keep displays neat and clean
  • prepare menu items per standard recipes
  • perform dishwashing, dining room attendant, cashiering, and coffee bar duties
  • work coffee bar, hot foods, and food prep as directed by managers
  • maintain cooperation with food & beverage manager, leads, and coworkers
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and trash removal
  • empty trash throughout the day
  • organize and sanitize dining room
  • respond to guest requests and maintain positive interactions
  • comply with ServSafe protocol
  • work with minimum supervision including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • perform duties outside the job classification as assigned
  • this is a non-tipped position
