Job Requirements

  • minimum 18 years of age
  • ability to obtain Wisconsin Responsible Server certificate within first week of employment
  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 1+ year prior experience in beverage and food service including the ability to safely prepare food
  • possession or ability to obtain ServSafe certification
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to operate beverage cart on golf course following etiquette and state liquor laws
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving bending, stooping and climbing
  • possession and ability to maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 1+ year prior experience in beverage/food service including the ability to safely prepare food
  • knowledge of the golf industry and/or food and beverage industry, course etiquette and rules
  • possession of or ability to obtain a Wisconsin Responsible Server certificate within first week of employment
  • knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
  • possession of or ability to obtain a ServSafe Certification for snack bar and concession operations
  • ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy, sometimes stressful times
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and evenings with a positive, enthusiastic outlook
  • strong listening and oral communication skills
  • knowledge and ability to adhere to quality standards for safety, sanitation and food handling
  • strong computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and other software programs
  • ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions
  • organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • fiscally responsible and able to accurately execute and maintain financial transactions and records
  • good independent judgment in assessing situations and making decisions
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow staff members and the public in a courteous and tactful manner

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve food and beverage items to guests while on the course and in the clubhouse
  • stock and clean beverage cart throughout scheduled shift
  • assist with inventory of merchandise, food, beverage, etc
  • confirm beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course
  • operate beverage cart and distribute beverages and/or food according to generally accepted golf course etiquette
  • distribute beverages and/or food on the golf course according to applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management
  • keep apprised of events and club activities schedules at the course
  • record all financial transactions accurately and according to all established policies and procedures
  • utilize G1 Point of Sales system and may be required to create daily sales reports
  • maintain and keep all working areas attractive, neat and clean performing general cleaning including but not limited to restocking bathrooms, dusting displays, cleaning tables, vacuuming clubhouse floors, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning outside entrances
  • assist with various responsibilities during tournament and/or outings to ensure customers' needs are met
  • provide back-up to Clubhouse Attendant's staff responsibilities as required
  • attend staff meetings as required
  • perform other duties as required
