Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous food handling or fast food experience preferred
  • ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit
  • some locations require an Alcohol Server’s Permit
  • basic verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to read and write
  • ability to stand and move around for entire shift
  • ability to lift at least 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Serve restaurant and room service guests and bus tables
  • maintain complete knowledge of menu
  • handle guests’ special requests
  • accurately complete guests’ orders and collect payments
  • balance cash and credit card receipts daily
  • adhere to food handling guidelines at all times
  • assist with quality and presentation issues, cleanliness and organization of kitchen and restaurant when necessary
  • maintain and enforce sanitation laws and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen or restaurant area
  • maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with guests, clients, coworkers, and management
  • comply with all tipping laws and company requirements
  • assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving of all food and beverage items as directed
  • service conference room catered functions as necessary
  • adhere to proper grooming and dress codes for the department
  • knowledge of and ability to carry out hotel emergency procedures
