Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • minimum three years restaurant supervision experience
  • culinary background a plus
  • strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Micros preferred
  • ability to read and interpret documents
  • ability to write routine reports
  • effective verbal communication
  • basic math skills
  • reasoning and problem-solving ability
  • ability to qualify for necessary licenses and permits including TIPS certification
  • physical ability to perform tasks including walking, stooping, kneeling, handling objects, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in varying environmental conditions
  • willingness to perform duties outside normal job description as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum three years experience in restaurant supervision
  • proven skills managing high volume full-service dining
  • culinary background preferred
  • good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite
  • familiarity with Micros system preferred
  • ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports and correspondence
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpretation of graphs
  • ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills
  • ability to deal with several variables in standardized situations
  • ability to obtain required licenses and permits including TIPS certification.

Job Duties

  • Deliver guest service by ensuring customer service standards
  • provide timely and knowledgeable service and find solutions to guest problems
  • manage day-to-day operations of food and beverage outlets
  • respond effectively to manager requests and customer interactions
  • staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop, and monitor personnel
  • assist in development and implementation of management plans including budgets and labor schedules
  • ensure staffing levels meet business volume demands
  • maintain high service standards
  • resolve customer complaints and provide general service
  • conduct informative and positive staff meetings
  • increase restaurant revenues through menu and service adjustments
  • order products and supplies using designated systems
  • supervise all aspects of food and beverage department including front and back of house
  • perform duties outside normal job description when necessary
  • ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • manage interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplining employees.
