Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED or two years' previous customer service experience or combination of education and experience
  • Five years' experience in Food & Beverage preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage desired but not required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure
  • Must have ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems diplomatically
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook programs
  • Must have knowledge of kitchen/restaurant sanitation, operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Employee must qualify for licenses and permits required by regulations
  • Must successfully complete TIPS training
  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, bending, and balancing
  • Must work in moderate to loud noise environment and possibly be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or two years' previous customer service experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of kitchen and restaurant sanitation, operation, and maintenance of equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook programs
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues to resolve conflicts diplomatically
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • Successful completion of TIPS training
  • Ability to apply common sense in carrying out instructions and deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager regarding scheduling concerns
  • Support compliance with departmental budgets
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with company standards
  • Assist in maintenance of cost control methods and monitor pars and inventory
  • Maintain and develop procedures for food service and inspect menu items for customer satisfaction
  • Follow quality assurance procedures to ensure health and customer service standards
  • Respond to guest needs and report problems to Manager
  • Assist Manager with administrative duties as assigned
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to relay pertinent information
  • Assist in cleaning and resetting Food & Beverage outlet during shifts
  • Monitor appearance of food and beverage served and address deviations
  • Assist in cross training team members and support peers
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and report issues to management
  • Maintain confidentiality in departmental and company matters
  • Manage work procedures and expedite workflow
  • Provide coaching and counseling to team members
