Job Requirements

  • college degree preferably specializing in hotel or restaurant management or equivalent experience
  • two to three years previous experience in an assistant manager position in food and beverage
  • working knowledge of division operations and Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • knowledge of food and beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting
  • ability to operate computer equipment and food and beverage computer systems
  • proficiency in reading, writing, and oral English

Job Duties

  • select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees and supervisors
  • ensure established cultural and core standards are met
  • plan long-range strategic operations for the outlet
  • be visible in operations and provide guest recognition
  • promote good public relations and handle guest complaints, concerns, or special requests
  • describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits
  • attend regular operational meetings to coordinate between departments
  • control labor and operating expenses through scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control
  • observe condition of facilities and equipment and recommend improvements
  • comply with Four Seasons' work rules and standards
  • work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors
  • maintain high personal appearance and hygiene standards
  • provide courteous and professional service at all times
  • comply with local legislation
  • respond flexibly to changes and extend job duties as required
  • attend training and meetings
  • ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards
