Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum five years of relevant food service or restaurant management experience
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • No felony, theft, or stealing convictions
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Background investigation clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant management
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Skill in the use of POS systems and computers
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work evening, graveyard, holiday, and weekend shifts
  • Comfortable working in environments with second-hand smoke and high noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five years of recent dining room food service or restaurant management experience
  • Knowledge of restaurant management principles
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices
  • Familiarity with management techniques
  • Understanding of dining, buffet and food maintenance operations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages, and desserts
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and staff
  • Ability to work effectively under stressful and busy conditions
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows-based environments
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with all Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures including internal controls
  • Ensure all repairs are made timely and accurately
  • Ensure interior surroundings are safe, clean, and professional
  • Foster an engaged, empowered, and high performance workplace culture
  • Uphold all tribal, city, state and federal health and food safety codes
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized work areas in compliance with regulations
  • Deliver superior service for food and beverage functions
  • Respond and resolve customer complaints efficiently
  • Maintain quality control of items being served
  • Fill requisitions for warehouse supplies
  • Order non-food items for all outlets
  • Train staff, organize workloads, and direct team members
  • Create schedules according to operational functions
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks
  • Provide exceptional guest service in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Conduct performance evaluations for subordinate staff including counseling and disciplinary action
  • Coordinate all functions with Food and Beverage Department
  • Serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with Title 4 Arizona liquor law and TOGE policies
  • Adhere strictly to TOGE internal controls related to alcohol
  • Collaborate in team efforts to achieve organizational goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Analyze member survey results and feedback to identify training improvement opportunities
