Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
  • Must pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment
  • Ability to service customers professionally
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Availability for evening, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years recent dining room food service or restaurant management experience
  • Knowledge of restaurant management
  • Knowledge of inventory practices
  • Knowledge of management techniques
  • Knowledge of dining, buffet and food maintenance operations and customer service
  • Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages and desserts
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skill in interpersonal and customer relations
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based environments

Job Duties

  • Ensures compliance with Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures including internal controls
  • Ensures all repairs are made timely and accurately
  • Maintains safe, clean, and professional interior surroundings
  • Promotes an engaged, empowered, and high performance workplace culture
  • Upholds Tribal, City, State, and Federal Health/Food Safety codes
  • Maintains clean, organized and sanitized work areas
  • Delivers service for Food and Beverage functions
  • Resolves customer complaints
  • Ensures quality control of served items
  • Fills requisitions and orders nonfood items
  • Trains staff members and directs workloads
  • Creates schedules for functions
  • Conducts monthly inventory
  • Provides exceptional guest service
  • Conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinates Food and Beverage Department functions
  • Serves alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages following Title 4 and TOGE controls
  • Contributes to team efforts
  • Performs other related duties
  • Analyzes member surveys and guest feedback
  • Models company standards and leads by example
