Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
  • Must undergo background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Title 4 Arizona liquor law
  • Must complete TOGE alcohol training
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Willingness to work evening, graveyard, holiday and weekend shifts
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum five years of relevant food service or restaurant management experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent dining room food service or restaurant management experience
  • Knowledge of restaurant management
  • Knowledge of inventory practices
  • Knowledge of management techniques
  • Knowledge of dining, buffet and food maintenance operations and customer service
  • Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages and desserts
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Skill in interpersonal and customer relations
  • Skill in the use of computer systems, preferably PC and Windows-based
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under stress
  • Ability to service customers professionally
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with all Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures, including internal controls
  • Ensure all repairs are made timely and accurately
  • Maintain interior surroundings to be safe, clean, and professional
  • Foster an engaged, empowered and high performance workplace culture
  • Uphold laws and regulations governing food and beverage, including tribal, city, state, and federal health/food safety codes
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitized work area
  • Deliver service for food and beverage functions
  • Respond and resolve customer complaints
  • Monitor quality control of items being served
  • Fill requisitions for warehouse
  • Order nonfood items for all outlets
  • Train staff members, organize workloads and direct staff
  • Create schedules according to functions
  • Conduct monthly inventory
  • Provide exceptional guest service in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Conduct performance evaluations on subordinates for job performance, counseling, and disciplinary action
  • Coordinate all functions with the Food and Beverage Department
  • Serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring compliance with Title 4 Arizona liquor laws and TOGE alcohol controls
  • Adhere to all Title 4 and TOGE internal controls
  • Contribute to team efforts to accomplish related results
  • Analyze member survey results and guest feedback to identify training and improvement opportunities
  • Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
  • Demonstrate Desert Diamond Casino 'On Brand' attitude towards team members and guests at all times
  • Display, support and reinforce Desert Diamond Casino's Spirit of Service Standards
  • Model company standards and lead by example
