Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
  • Must pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum five years experience in food service or restaurant management
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to work extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, holidays and weekends
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to second-hand smoke and high noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five years of recent dining room food service or restaurant management experience
  • Knowledge of restaurant management
  • Knowledge of inventory practices
  • Knowledge of management techniques
  • Knowledge of dining, buffet and food maintenance operations and customer service
  • Knowledge of menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages and desserts
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Skill in interpersonal and customer relations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to service customers professionally
  • Skill in computer use preferably in a PC, Windows-based environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Ensures compliance with all Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures including internal controls
  • Ensures all repairs are made timely and accurately
  • Ensures the interior surroundings are safe, clean, and professional
  • Ensures an engaged, empowered and high performance workplace culture
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing Food & Beverage and uphold all tribal, city, state and federal health/food safety codes
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitized work area following all health/food safety regulations
  • Deliver service for Food & Beverage functions
  • Respond and resolve customer complaints
  • Responsible for quality control of items being served
  • Fill requisitions for warehouse
  • Order nonfood items for all outlets
  • Train staff members, organize workloads and direct staff
  • Create schedules according to functions
  • Conduct monthly inventory
  • Provide exceptional guest service in a friendly, efficient manner
  • Conduct performance evaluations and handle disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate functions with the Food & Beverage Department
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with Title 4 and TOGE policies
  • Adhere to all Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and TOGE internal controls
  • Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Analyze member survey results and guest feedback to improve services
  • Exemplify the desired organizational culture and philosophies
