Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- must be available to work at 4:00 pm and as late as 2:00 am
- be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 5 hours
- be able to lift 25 lbs carrying stock and supplies
- positive attitude and work well with other team members
- be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed
- satisfactory completion of background check including sex offender registry if applicable and a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Must have at least one year of bartending experience
- ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
- ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- ability to work unsupervised
- must be willing to complete Techniques of Alcohol Management course
Job Duties
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of guests’ experience
- prepare and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the City’s standard drink recipes
- accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change if applicable
- wash and sterilize glassware
- maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- knowledge of drink menu in order to make suggestions and explain selections
- maintain cleanliness in bar area, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
