Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to handle payments and use POS systems
- Excellent personal grooming
Job Qualifications
- Be able to work in a standing position for up to six hours
- Communicate clearly in the predominant language(s) of guests
- Have exceptional grooming habits
- Possess excellent basic math skills
- Be able to operate a cash register or POS system
Job Duties
- Welcome guests as they enter
- Greet guests upon arriving at the table
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes
- Make recommendations guests will enjoy
- Answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
- Prepare coffee and tea when line assistant is not available
- Prepare toast when toast assistant is not available
- Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly
- Perform side work at start and end of shifts
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas including tables, seats, floors and windows
- Monitor guests' dining experience and respond promptly to requests
- Prepare final bills and process payments
- Assist co-workers as needed
- Pre-bus tables and assist bus staff with clearing and cleaning
- Thank guests and invite them to return
- Fill in as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
