Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer focus and team spirit
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications
- Be able to work in a standing position for up to 6 hours
- Communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of guests
- Maintain exceptional grooming habits
- Possess basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or POS system
Job Duties
- Welcome guests as they enter
- Greet guests upon arriving at the table and make them feel comfortable
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes
- Make recommendations guests will enjoy
- Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them in the POS system
- Prepare coffee and tea in absence of line assistant
- Prepare toast in absence of toast assistant
- Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests
- Perform side work at start and end of each shift
- Maintain clean service areas including tables, seats, floors, windows, and walls
- Monitor guest dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- Prepare and present final bill, process payments
- Assist co-workers as needed
- Pre-bus and assist bus person with clearing and cleaning tables
- Thank guests and invite them to return
- Fill in to ensure smooth restaurant operation as directed
